International airport – Anuradhapura

Arrival at the Colombo Airport, You will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel.

The hotel is situated on a 50 acre plot of land that was originally used for chena cultivation. For the Landscaping of the hotel, more than 500 big trees (about 20 feet high) were brought from the Jungle, with the permission of the Forest Department and replanted in the garden of the hotel. Over 2000 Other young plants have been planned to create a king of "botanical garden".

The largest and oldest of all Sri Lanka's ancient cities, Anuradhapura is a fitting climax to any tour of the Cultural Triangle. Arguably, it takes a bit more effort to imagine it as it was more than 2500 years ago, with palaces and huge dagobas standing up to nine storey’s high, a main processional avenue 24km (16 miles) long, and the richly decorated, ostentatious mansions of nobles and wealthy foreign merchants.

Today, you can still stand where the king once stood at Aukana and look up at the Buddha statue, 12 meters high, carved from the living rock. And you can feel the serenity as the Buddha's rock hand gives the same blessing as the day the statue was finished.

Large number of Sri Lankan elephants is attracted to grass fields on the edges of the reservoir during the dry season. The Kaudulla tank contributes to sustain a large herd of elephants. Individuals of elephants gathered here is numbering around 150-200. Explore this park by 4x4 safari jeep.

Climb the Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site, built by King Kassapa in the 05th century A.D. which was a Royal Citadel for more than 18 years. The Lion Rock is a citadel of unusual beauty, rising 200 meters from the scrub jungle. The base of the rock is ringed by a moat and rampart and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens. The majestic Lion’s Paw picturesquely guards the stairway of the palace on the summit. See the famous frescoes of the “Heavenly maidens” of Sigiriya in a sheltered pocket of the rock and the 10 feet high Mirror Wall.
